There may have been a time when you didn’t learn English. I don’t blame you. It wasn’t important to you then. It was something you needed to get out of the way, and you did. I’m sorry you had to go through that. I’m glad you want to learn English now, and I know we can pick up the pieces from your past and turn them into something beautiful.

You may have had a difficult past with English and the thought of trying English again may stress you out. I would encourage you to ignore the English. Think about the things you want to say. Maybe Paris, London, New York and using English to travel the world. Maybe I love you and I remember when to share your life and stories with somebody who is important to you. There’s a reason you want to learn English now, and it is a good reason. I know you can do it, and I know you should to help your dreams come true.
I know it can be stressful too. To remember hard days in school and to imagine taking on the challenge again. Let’s not imagine. Let’s relax and discover English in the world around us now. Breathe. Relax.
We are going to look, listen, touch and find the little things here and now that we can relate to in English.
Look for 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste.
Write the words if you can. Draw a picture of the thing if yo don’t know the word yet. We will figure it out. You have these things around you now in your world. You can see them every day and be reminded of what they are and journey out from there into your English universe.

Learning English is not a test. Not anymore. It is a celebration!
